Heart Print is Trending
Hearts, the universal symbol for Galentine’s day, formerly known as the Hallmark-holiday you love to hate, might just be a sweet substitute for florals this Spring. Particularly heart print.
Heart prints are everywhere! We first saw them in the Fall 2013 runway collections. Whether presented in a basic repeat or jazzed up with geometric and linear details, they are sure to add a nostalgic and youthful charm to your print collection. Alexa Chung, here, carries them in accessory form whereas Victoria Beckham, Taylor Swift, and Gwenyth Paltrow wor them on their clothes in blouse, sweater, and dress form.
Are you a fan of this trend now that it has hit the mainstream? These flattering heart print pants are such an easy way to wear the trend.
With any prints, it’s best to keep the rest of your outfit simple. Keeping your other pieces simple like a white t-shirt or black turtleneck always works. A big thank you to whoever designed turtlenecks because seriously, I cannot live without them. As soon as the temperature drops below 70, outcome my turtlenecks. They’re SO great for layering. For wearing under dresses and tops, you obviously want to keep the fit as lean as possible. I wear them with dresses, button-downs, and other floaty summer pieces that I want to keep wearing through the cold weather.
That said, there are no hard and fast rules in fashion, and sometimes it can be fun to pile on prints if you like a more attention-grabbing look.
